After Latest Missile Test, North Korea Threatens More Launches
On 6th August 2019, Tuesday, North Korea has threatened to carry out more arms tests after its 4th pair of missiles fired within 2 weeks following the launch of joint exercises between the South and the US. Rising temperatures on the peninsula threaten to halt talks between Pyongyang and Washington, with the North saying that coordinated exercises are an "obvious violation" of the process.

Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement, that the North fired "2 projectiles that are assumed to be short-range ballistic missiles" from the South Hwanghae province on its west coast.

Kids Of UP Government Schools To Create Kitchen Gardens
In a new experiment, students of all government schools in Uttar Pradesh (UP) will now create their own kitchen gardens and grow their own fruits and vegetables. The MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) has advised all government schools up-to 8th class to produce all items from kitchen gardens at lunchtime. The idea behind the program is to increase the nutritious value of lunch and encourage children to grow plants, fruits, and vegetables.

In UP, the CISH (Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture) will help the government schools to make the proper use of land and funds. About 2500 schools in the UP state has already had their kitchen garden raised by teachers and students much before this information came.

J&K To Be Split Into 2 Union Territories (UT)
On Monday (5th August 2019), the government said, that the special status given through the constitution to Jammu & Kashmir has ended. Home Minister Amit Shah told Parliament that Article 370 and 35A were repealed by the President's signing of an order that would come into force simultaneously.

The BJP's government has also said it wants the parliament to clear a proposal that separates the state of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) into 2 different union territories (UT) which are effectively semi-states. Like Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) would be a union territory with its own legislature. Ladakh would be the other union territory but without its own assembly.

Steyn Announces Retirement From Test Cricket
The legendary South African pacer Dale Steyn age 36, has announced his retirement from Test cricket to prolong his career. Steyn will continue to be on a national contract in white-ball cricket and therefore he plays for South Africa (RSA) in One-Day Internationals and T20 Internationals.

Dale Steyn made his Test cricket debut way back in December 2004 against England at Port Elizabeth. Steyn ends his Test cricket career as South Africa's (RSA's) highest wicket-taker with 439 wickets at an average of just 22.95.
