For Pakistan, IMF Approves USD 6 billion Loan
The International Monetary Fund has approved a 3-year USD 6 billion loans for cash-built Pakistan with tough conditions to address its balance of payment crisis and help the country's ailing economy return to sustainable growth. After the Imran Khan government took over, Pakistan approached the IMF in August 2018 for a bailout package.

To help Pakistan address its balance of payment crisis, the USD 6 billion financial aid includes an immediate disbursement of USD 1 billion. The official said, that the IMF Executive Board approved 39 months extended arrangement under the EFF (Extended Fund Facility) for Pakistan for USD 6 billion to support its economic reform programme.

Yogi Adityanath Launches 24-Hour Free Helpline
On Thursday (4th July 2019), the Yogi Adityanath government launched the CM's toll-free helpline that will enable people from across the state to register their complaints. The helpline number 1076 will work on 24x7. It will not only establish direct contact between the Chief Minister's office and people but will also cast a shadow on the bureaucrats who do not respond/ take action to people's complaints.

The 500 seater call centre for the helpline has the capacity to handle 55,000 outbound and 80,000 inbound calls on a daily basis. When the complainant calls the helpline number 1076, he will get an SMS informing him/her that the complaint has been sent to the department concerned.

Afghanistan vs West Indies: On today (4th July 2019, Thursday), a match between Afghanistan vs West Indies at the Headingley, Leeds. The toss was won by West Indies and elected to bat first. Afghanistan played 8 matches, lost all of it and West Indies played 8 matches and won 1 and lost 6 and no result 1. West Indies was led by Jason Holder and Afghanistan was led by Gulbadin Naib. According to BCCI sources, India middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu has announced his retirement from all format of cricket, including the IPL on Wednesday (3rd July 2019). The retirement announcement comes after Rayudu was snubbed by the Indian team management, which preferred Mayank Agarwal as a replacement for an injured Vijay Shankar in the ICC World Cup 2019 squad.

In 55 One Day Internationals, middle-order batsman scored 1694 runs with 3 centuries and 10 half-centuries at an average of 47.05. In the 6 T20Is he played, the Rayudu scored 42 runs.
