Organisers said on Tuesday (June 11, 2019), as part of a sustainability push, podiums at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be made from plastic waste donated by the local residents or collected from the sea. Organisers say, it will be the 1st time podiums have been made from recycled materials and it will need about 45 tonnes of plastic to fashion around 100 podiums for the Olympic Games. 

Toshiro Muto, Tokyo 2020 CEO said, that the plan would help to push a message of sustainability, which organisers want to be a key theme of the Olympic Games next year.

BJP Lawmaker Virendra Kumar To Be Interim Lok Sabha Speaker
Dr Virendra Kumar, the 7-time BJP lawmaker will be the interim Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Dr Kumar as the temporary Speaker will administer the oath of office to the newly elected Lok Sabha members. Also, preside over the 1st meeting of the Lok Sabha in which the Speaker will be elected. 

Dr Virendra Kumar age 65 is the lawmaker from Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh (MP). Kumar was the junior minister in the Women and Child Development Ministry (WCDM) and the Minorities Affairs Ministry in PM Narendra Modi's last government. 

The 1st session of 17th Lok Sabha will begin on 17th June 2019. The recently elected members will be administered the oath on the first 2 days, and then the new Speaker will be elected on 19th June. The session will go on till 26th July and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will also present the budget on 5th July 2019.

5 Crore Scholarships For Minority Students In Next 5 Years
Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister for Minority Affairs said, that here today that various scholarships including post-matric, Pre-matric, merit-cum-means and etc. will be provided to five crore minority students in the next 5 years, which will include 50% girl students. This scheme includes more than Ten lakhs Begum Hazrat Mahal Girls Scholarship in the next 5 years for economically weaker sections (EWS). 

The Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also announced that the "Padho-Badho" awareness campaign will be launched across the country to encouraging education, especially in minority girls in those areas of the country where the people do not send their children to school due to socio-economic reasons. The campaign is mainly focused on girls and it will be launched in 60 minority concentrated districts of the country in the 1st phase.

For Drinking Water Schemes, TN Seeks 5000 Crores Aid From Centre
On Tuesday (11th June 2019), the Tamilnadu government requested the Centre for sanctioning over Rs. 5000/- crores for various drinking water supply schemes in the TN state which including a remove salt (desalination) plant for Villupuram district. 

S. P. Velumani, Minister for Municipal Administration has presented a memorandum to Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, in New Delhi on Tuesday (11th June 2019), and sought sanction for the projects totalling Rs. 5398/- crores. 

The memorandum said, that the proposed projects which include a desalination (remove salt) plant and connected the pipeline works with a capacity of 100 MLD to Tindivanam and Villupuram municipalities and Vikkaravandi and Marakkanam town panchayat.

Bangladesh played 3 matches and lost 2 of them and won one match and Sri Lanka played 3 matches and won one, lost one and no result one. Bangladesh was led by Mashrafe Mortaza and Sri Lanka was led by Dimuth Karunaratne. 

In the last match between South Africa vs West Indies, The match was abandoned and both teams get one point. In the first innings, South Africa was 29 for 2 (7.3 overs), then the rain was interrupted the match.
