China Building 3rd and Largest Aircraft Carrier
According to satellite images obtained analyzed by United States think tank, China construct the first full sized aircraft carrier is well under way. From April, the image were provided to Reuters by the CSIS (Center for Strategic and International Studies) in Washington, reveal substantial recent activity during the last 6 months on a large vessel at the Jiangnan shipyard outside Shanghai.

China has not yet confirmed it is the building a 3rd carrier, although recent hints in state media and the timing and extent of it's carrier programme remain state secrets. The Pentagon said last week, that work had starts, but no images have reveled until now.

After 6 Week Bail Expires, Ex-Pak PM Nawaz Sharif to Return Jail
On Tuesday (7th May 2019), Pakistan's removed PM Nawaz Sharif will return to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore following the expiry of his 6 week bail in a corruption case in which he has been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment. The 3 time former premier is expected to surrender himself to jail authorities in evening after evening meal and will arrive at the prison in a PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz) workers' rally, which will be headed by his daughter Maryam Nawaz. 

On 26th March 2019, Sharif aged 69 was granted 6 week interim bail by the top court in the Al-Azizia Mills corruption case to undergo medical treatment and Sharif filed the petition on 27th April 2019 for permanent bail stating that he was suffering from depression and acute anxiety. The six week bail expired on Today (7th May 2019) as the Supreme court rejected his review petition seeking extension in the bail granted to him on medical grounds. Also the court were rejected the former premier's petition to allow him to travel abroad for treatment.

ICSE, ISC Results Declared: Joint Toppers Score 100% in Class 12
The Class 12 (ISC) and Class 10 (ICSE) examinations conducted under the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations/ CISCE were released the results on Tuesday (07-05-2019). Punjab's Muktsar and Mumbai's Manhar Bansal and Juhi Rupesh Kajaria topped the Class 10 ISCE exam with 99.60%. 

Bengaluru's Vibha Swaminathan and Kolkata's Dewang Kumar Agarwal topped the Class 12 ISC examination with 100% marks. They are the first students to score 100% marks in ISC in the history of the school board. While 98.54% students have cleared the Class 10 exams and 96.52% students cleared the Class 12 exam.

Former West Indies batsman Seymour Nurse Died at 85
Wisden Cricketer of the Year and Barbados National Sports Council, Seymour Nurse aged 85 was died. Nurse died on Monday (06th May 2019) after a prolonged illness. He was survived by his twin daughters. Seymour Nurse made his Test debut against England in 1960 and went to score 2523 runs in his Test career and he play 29 Tests for West Indies with 6 hundreds and 10 fifties.

After making his debut, the Barbados middle order batsman suffered from many injuries and it was not until the 1966 West Indies tour of England. In 1967 he was named as named Wisden Cricketer of the Year.

World Asthma Day is an annual awareness event on first Tuesday of May which is supported by GINA (Global Initiative for Asthma) and US based NHLB (National Heart Lung and Blood Institute) and also the World Asthma Foundation. World Asthma Day has been running for ten years. The day usually has an annual theme and for 2018 the theme was 'Allergy and Asthma'.

The main motto of this day is raising awareness of asthma and also how its affects sufferers. The asthma day falls on the 1st Tuesday in May each year (i.e 7th May 2019 this year) and aims to raise support for sufferers and their families. In Barcelona, World Asthma Day was launched in conjunction with the 1st World Asthma Meeting and it has grown to become the biggest international asthma event.

On 7th May 1861, Rabindranath Tagore was born as Robindronath Thakur. A musician, artist and poet, the Bengali polymath gave the world "Gitanjali", a wonderful collection of sensitive Bengali poems which won him a Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.
