NASA Says Aluminium Fraud Caused $700 Million Satellite Failure
According to an investigation by the United States space agency, a metals manufacturer faked test results and also provided faulty materials to NASA, it causing more than $700 million in losses and 2 failed satellite launch missions. The NASA metal manufacturer fraud involved an Oregon company which is called Sapa Profiles. Which is falsified 1000's of certifications for aluminium parts over nineteen years for 100's of customers, including NASA. 

The not worthy parts were used in the making of Taurus XL, a rocket that was supposed to deliver satellites which studying the Earth's climate during missions carried out in 2009 & 2011. According to a statement from NASA, the launch vehicle's fairing, a clamshell structure that carries the NASA's satellite as it travels through the atmosphere, did not fully open, which causing the unsuccessful launch.

Cyclone Fani Likely To Hit Odisha Tomorrow (3rd May)
PM Narendra Modi today (May 2, 2019) chaired a high level meeting to review preparedness on the ground ahead of Fani Cyclone. The cyclone is expected to make landfall tomorrow (May 3, 2019) afternoon on Odisha coast, south of Puri. The Modi instructed his senior officers to stay in close touch with Odisha states, which are likely to bear the loads the cyclone and also ensure that effective measures are taken. 

According to the latest forecast by the JWTC (Joint Typhoon Warning Centre), Cyclone Fani is the most severe cyclonic storm since the super cyclone of 1999 that perish large parts of the state and killed as many as ten thousand people.

Today (May 2nd, 2019), Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, if voted to power, Rs. 72,000/- would be deposited in bank accounts of five crore people of the country within 1 year under NYAY scheme. He said, that the amount will be given till a family earns Rs. 12,000/- per month. 

While addressing an election rally in Jharkhand, Simdega which is a part of Khunti Lok Sabha constituency where voting will take place on 6th May 2019, the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi blamed PM Narendra Modi for working only for 15 to 20 people. Narendra Modi ji has not fulfilled his promises of providing 2 crore jobs. Also he did not deposit of Rs. 15 lakh in bank accounts of the people.

The CBSE Class 12 results 2019 were announced today (2nd May) afternoon for thirteen lakh students who was appeared for the crucial examination which began on 13th Feb 2019. Two girls named Hansika Shukla from Uttar Pradesh (UP) Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora from Muzaffarnagar, has jointly get topped in the  CBSE examination by scoring a spectacular 499 marks out of 500. 

A number of politicians, including PM Modi congratulated all the 12th class CBSE students after the results were announced. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar & Prime Minster Narendra Modi tweeted, "Congratulations to all my young friends who have successfully passed the CBSE Class XII (12) examinations. My best wishes to them for their endeavors and kudos also to their teachers and parents for the valuable support".

As Non-Performing Asset, Tribunal Allows Banks To Declare IL&FS Loan
News agency ANI reported, on Thursday (02-05-2019), the NCLAT (National Company Law Appellate Tribunal) allowed bankers to declare the loans of debt ridden IL&FS (Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services) as NPAs (Non Performing Assets). The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal said, the banks can't start their recovery proceedings. 

According to the agency, the next hearing on the matter is scheduled for 21st May 2019. Banks have an exposure of around Rs. 55000 cr to IL&FS. After recent defaults on some of its debt obligations triggered sharp declines in stock and debt markets, the government replaced IL&FS entire board last month. It leads to fears about partitioning in the financial sector. IL&FS has started the sale of several assets which includes education and road, to pay off its debt.
