US Supports Sri Lanka's Fight Against Terror & Offers $480 Million Aid
On Thursday (16th May 2019), the US reassured  it's support for Sri Lanka in it's fight against terrorism, after the bombing on the Easter Sunday that killed more than 250 people across the country last month. Sri Lanka Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana met United States Secretary of State Michael R Pompeo in Washington and the both attended a high level meeting that focused on counter terrorism, security and transnational organised crime among other matters. 

The State Department said in the statement, that the Secretary (Pompeo) stresses the US condemned of the attacks that Sri Lanka suffered last month, which also killed 5 Americans and strong United States support for Sri Lanka in it's fight against terrorism.

In Test, Japan's Next Generation 'Shinkansen Bullet Train' Clocks 320 Kmph
On Thursday (May 16, 2019), a prototype of Japan's next generation 'Shinkansen' bullet train is set to be the fastest train on wheels when it enters service which reached the speeds of 320 km per hour on a test run. The train was code named as "ALFA-X" will eventually hit 360 km per hour when it begins to take passengers in about a decade. Thursday's (16th May 2019) trial run between Morioka and Sendai, 2 cities in northern Japan, was the 1st open to the media since tests started last week. 

A company spokesman said, that we successfully conducted the test run today (18th May 2019) and will continue testing the train for about 3 years. The company plans to introduce the train in 2030-2031 when 'Shinkansen' services will be extended to Sapporo.

Veteran Telugu Actor Rallapalli Dies At 74
Rallapalli Venkata Narasimha Rao age 74 Veteran Telugu actor was died on Friday (17th May 2019) evening and he was popularly known by his surname 'Rallapalli'. He was died at a private hospital in Hyderabad after a cardiac arrest. The hospital sources said, that the Rallappali who had been suffering from a liver problem was died at 06:16 pm following a cardiac arrest. 

He was admitted to the hospital on 15th May 2019. Rallapalli acted more than 800 films and was popular as a character artiste and comedian. He was a 5 time winner of the prestigious Nandi award in undivided Andhra Pradesh.

The first day was observed on 18 May 1998. The main aim of the activities is to create awareness of the need for AIDS/ HIV vaccines and to educate the people about how AIDS/ HIV can be prevented.
