The oldest person in the world from Russia has passed away at the age of 123 years. The Official said, that the Appaz Iliev was born in 1896 from the republic of Ingushetia near Georgia. Appaz birth records have been lost, his age cannot be verified by the Guinness Book of Records, so the grants the title of the world's living person to 116 year old Japan's Kane Tanaka. Appaz tips for a long life included generosity, mountain air, avoiding doctors and medication.

He lived through in the decades and generations, raising 8 children. Appaz had 35 grand children, 34 great-grand children and several great-great-grand children.

Mumbai Girl Is World's First To Cross Atlantic Ocean In Light Sports Aircraft
On Tuesday (14th May 2019), Captain Aarohi Pandit aged 23 year old pilot from Mumbai became the world's 1st woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean solo in a LSA (Light Sports Aircraft), thrilling her friends, family and aviation circles in Mumbai.

Aarohi was achieved the feat around midnight Monday-Tuesday (13th May - 14th May) when she landed her tiny aircraft at Iqaluit Airport in Canada, after a grueling 3000 km long flight, under adverse and extreme weather conditions following take off from Wick, Scotland (UK), with brief stopovers in Iceland and Greenland.

AIFF Appoints Igor Stimac As Indian Football Team Coach
On Wednesday (15th May 2019), the All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced, Croatia's Igor Stimac has been appointed the head coach of the Indian football men's senior team for a 2 year term. Since the departure of Stephen Constantine in January, the national team has playing without a coach.

This announcement was made on the official Twitter account of Indian Football Team. The appointment was made by the All India Football Federation executive committee. The 51 year old Igor Stimac who was part of Croatia's 1998 World Cup squad that finished 3rd in France, comes with an experience of over 18 years in structuring, coaching and developing football and players back home, and internationally.

For Record 23rd Time, Nepal Mountaineer Conquers Mount Everest
On Tuesday (14-05-2019), Kami Rita Sherpa Nepal's mountaineer has become the 1st person to climb to the top of Mount Everest for the most number of times with his 23rd success of the highest summit on Earth. Every year, the climbing season runs from March through May. Kami Rita started the climb from Nepal side one of the 2 routes to the peak, the other being from Tibet. 

Last years, a record of 807 climbers reached the summit of Mount Everest with 563 people climbing from the south and 244 from the northern flank in Tibet. The mountain also claimed the lives of 5 climbers which is including an experienced Sherpa guide who was knocked down a crevasse by a rescue helicopter.

Pakistan Batsman Imam-ul-Haq Breaks Kapil Dev's 36 Year Old Record
Pakistan open batsman Imam-ul-Haq broke the India's World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev's record as he became the youngest ever batsman to score a 150+ knock in ODI (One Day International) cricket in England. 

Former Indian Team skipper Kapil Dev had scored an unbeaten 175 runs at the age of 24 in a 1983 World Cup match against Zimbabwe at Tunbridge Wells. After 36 years, Imam-ul-Haq aged 23 scored 151 runs off just 131 balls in the 3rd ODI against England on Tuesday (14th May 2019).
