Countdown As SpaceX, NASA Prepare to Test New Astronaut Capsule
SpaceX and NASA were counting down the hours Friday (1st March 2019) to the launch of a new astronaut capsule on a week long return flight to the International Space Station (ISS), after an 8 year break, a key step towards resuming manned space flights from United State soil. This time around the only occupant will be a duplicate named Ripley.

But if the test goes normally, NASA plans to put 2 astronauts on board SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule by the end of this year 2019. The SpaceX built rocket will blast off a new capsule on board. Elon Musk, the space company of billionaire on Saturday (2nd March 2019) from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The rocket is scheduled to reach the International Space Station by Sunday (3rd March 2019), with a return to Earth next Friday.

On 3rd March 2019 (Sunday), PM Modi will address a public meeting and lay the foundation stone of an ordnance factory unit in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, the parliamentary constituency of Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to launch a several projects in the constituency which has was loyal to the Gandhi family for long. This would be Prime Minister Modi's first visit to Amethi in Uttar Pradesh after coming to power in 2014. In December, Modi visited the neighbouring Rae Bareli constituency, represented in Lok Sabha by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

Captured IAF (Indian Air Force) pilot Abhinandan Varthaman returned to India night at 9:30 PM on Friday (1st March 2019), after nearly 60 hours (2+ days) in Pakistan. Dressed in white shirt, grey trousers and navy blue blazers, the pilot (Abhinandan) crossed into India through the Attari-Wagah border, an hours later than expected and he was received by the Indian security officers and whisked away.

India's Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was shot down on Wednesday (27th February 2019) while flying a MiG-21 fighter in a dogfight with Pakistani aircraft and captured.

On Friday (2nd March 2019), the Delhi Cabinet approved the reimbursement cost of fitting hydraulic lifts in 1000 standard floor CNG buses. This move aimed at benefiting specially abled people. The buses are being procured by Delhi government.

The Delhi government said, that the Cabinet meeting was chaired by CM Arvind Kejriwal approved the proposal of the transport department for reimbursing the incremental cost of fitting hydraulic lifts which is include annual maintenance cost for 10 years, to the concerned offers.

From Umaria in Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Shah will launch the rally during his 1 day tour of the state on Saturday (2/3/2019). The BJP party said, the rally will cover more than 3500 locations in UP, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar, MP, Tamil Nadu (TN), Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh (AP), Kerala and Odisha.

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics announced in a press release, the award recognizes excellence in implementing or developing missile systems technology, which is including inspired leadership of missile systems programs or significant technological accomplishments.

Prime Minister Modi on Friday (1st March 2019) flagged off a new "Tejas Express" train between Chennai Egmore to Madurai through video conferencing. This Tejas Express will be the fastest in the Madurai to Chennai porch. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for 2 other projects which will boost rail infrastructure in Tamilnadu (TN).

The new Tejas express has smart windows, ergonomically designed seats, personalized reading lights and attendant call button. The passengers will also enjoy on board infotainment with GPS based information system and Live TV. The train coaches will have WiFi, LED lighting, CCTV, anti graffiti vinyl wrapping and USB charging. The "Tejas Express" train also has modular bio vacuum toilets, sliding coach doors, sealed vestibules and automatic entry doors.

For Mumbai Metro Rail Project, Asian Development Bank to Lend $926 Million
On Friday (1st March 2019), marking it's single largest infrastructure loan ever, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $926 million loan agreement with India to operationalize 2 lines for a Mumbai metro rail system. The Ministry of Finance said, it aims to make ease the distress of commuters each day and help them to provide a cleaner and less congested city.

They said, that the single largest infrastructure project loan in Asian Development Bank history approved by the ADB (Asian Development Bank) Board on 26th February 2019, will help fund lines 2A (Dahisar to DN Nagar), 2B (DN Nagar Bandra Mandale), and 7 (Dahisar East to Andheri East), totaling about 58 km. The project will fund 63 six car trains, safety systems and signalling and also help establish a new dedicated metro operations organisation to manage the entire metro network in Mumbai.

Dr Seuss Day is also known as Read Across America Day and it is a yearly observance in the USA which is inaugurated by the National Education Association (NEA). Dr Seuss Day is held on the school day that is nearest to March 2nd on Dr Seuss birthday. Theodor Seuss Geisel was an American artist, animator, book publisher, poet, an author as well as a political cartoonist.

He is best known for authoring over 60 children's books. National Education Association launched the Read Across America (Dr Seuss Day), which is an initiative on reading that starts in 1997, to encourage the children in reading more books. Also getting them excited about reading. On 2nd March 1998, the first Read Across America Day was celebrated.
