Mike Pence: US Wants Astronauts Back On The Moon In 5 Years
On Tuesday (26th March 2019), Vice President Mike Pence announced, that the US intends to send astronauts back to the Moon within 5 years, with a women first in line to set foot on lunar surface. Pence said in a speech in Huntsville, Alabama, it is stated policy of administration and the United States of America to return American astronauts to the Moon within the next 5 years. 

He also said, that the first woman and the next man on the Moon will be both American astronauts launched by American rockets from American soil. The first manned moon mission in more than half a century had been scheduled for 2028.

On Wednesday (27th March 2019), Bhojpuri actor and singer Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirhua joined the BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) in the presence of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. The Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Yadav told news agency, I am joining BJP and I will work as per the directives of the party. 

Dinesh Lal said, that he will fight the elections if the party decides to field him and he also batted for a 2nd term for Modi as the PM. A popular name in the Bhojpuri film industry, Dinesh Lal Yadav is a singer, actor as well as a television presenter. In 2012, Dinesh was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 6.

Prime Minister Modi announced today (27/03/2019) in a televised national address, India has successfully tested fire a sophisticated anti satellite missile in "Mission Shakti" and destroyed a live satellite flying in low Earth orbit. 

This successful space mission test has made India to the 4th country to acquire such a modern capability and specialized, making it a space super power. The PM assured the international community that our capability will not be used against anyone but is purely India's defence initiative for it's security. We are against arms race in space. This Mission Shakti test will not breach any international treaties/ law.

The battle lines have been drawn for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 in Telangana, with the process of filing nominations is comes to an end, in what appears to be mainly a 3 cornered contest between the Congress, BJP and the ruling TRS party. The Telangana state, that has 17 Lok Sabha constituencies will vote in the 1st phase of elections on 11th April 2019. 

Bolstered by it's thumping win in the Assembly polls in last December, TRS has set a target of  itself by winning 16 seats, leaving the Hyderabad seat to it's ally AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen). He said, if it wins 16 seats, then TRS can play a key role at the Centre and surely will do a better deal for Telangana.

In Election Season, Centre May Pay Up To Rs. 19,000 Crore To Farmers
The official source said, the Indian government could pay up to Rs. 19000 Cr to about 9.5 Cr voters through their PM-KISAN scheme flagship in the run up to general elections, with the potential of over Rs. 13300 Cr being transferred to beneficiaries even when the election code is in force. 

Under PM-KISAN scheme, announced during Union Budget in February 2019, 12.5 Cr small and marginal farmer households were to receive Rs. 6,000, to be paid in 3 installments of Rs. 2,000 a month. However, with the poll code coming into force earlier this month, the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare had sought permission from the Election Commission to continue the scheme.

Former Australia Cricketer Bruce Yardley Dies at 71
Today (27th March 2019, Wednesday), Former Australian coach, commentator and Test cricketer Bruce Yardley lost his battle to cancer and passed away at the age of 71. Bruce Yardley who debuted for Australia at the age of 30 was started his cricketing career as a medium pacer but later he turned to be an off spinner.

In his 33rd Test for the national team, Bruce Yardley picked 126 wickets at an average of 31.63 and also he also bagged 344 wickets in first-class cricket. Bruce had coached the Sri Lankan team in the late 1990s.
