On Every year 6th February is an International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation is a United Nations sponsored annual awareness day as part of the UN's efforts to eradicate female genital mutilation. International Day of Zero Tolerance for FGM was first introduced in 2003. 

FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) includes all procedures that involve injuring the female genitalia for non-medical reasons. Its recognized internationally as a violation of the human rights of women and girls. This is a movement for the rights of girls & women and their bodies, as well as the protection of their physical health, which can be surprisingly affected later in life. These efforts are to benefit actions fighting violence against girls and women.

On Wednesday (6th February 2019), Jens Stoltenberg, the Western military alliance's secretary general, said in a statement, Leaders of the NATO allies will hold a summit in December in London. The choice of spot has added signs, as Britain prepares to leave the European Union next month while confirmation that it will retain a key role in the continents security. 

The previous NATO summit, at the alliance's Brussels headquarters in July, saw US President Donald Trump, including Germany. Stoltenberg said, that we are grateful to the UK for agreeing to host this meeting in NATO's 70th anniversary year.

A team of 7 robots serve as waiters at Chennai's first "Robot Restaurant", with color coordinated in white and blue. These robots are that they greet and interact with the customers in both Tamil and English. The restaurant which is located in Chennai's Mugilivakkam, Porur, has become the "talk of the town". 

The robot's serves Indo-Asian cuisines and is themed around golf. The "Female Robot" is a receptionist at the restaurant which allots the table number to the customers and also responds to their queries. The robots, costing Rs. 5 lakh each and the robots first welcome the guests/ customer warmly and then bring meals and exotic drinks to the table.

On February 22, Japan's Hayabusa-2 Probe to Land on Asteroid
An officials said on Wednesday (February 6, 2019), A Japanese probe Hayabusa2 sent to research an asteroid in order to shed light on the origins of the solar system is expected to land on the rock later this month. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) said, that the Hayabusa2 probe is expected to touch down on the Ryugu asteroid at 08:00 am local time on 22nd February 2019. 

JAXA project manager Yuichi Tsuda said, that the landing point of Hayabusa2 is decided and how we're going to land is confirmed. So we want to do our best to achieve this without making any mistakes.

France and Germany to Launch First Contracts on Future Combat Jets
A French army source and 2 other sources who familiar with this matter said, that the France and Germany will on Wednesday (6th February 2019) announce a 65 million euro contract financed equally by both countries over 2 years as the first act of the joint programme to design a next generation combat jet. 

The official source said, that the Airbus and Dassault Aviation will build the combat jet that is expected to replace Germany's Euro fighters and Dassault's Rafale by 2024, will start work on the concept and architectures of the program. The German and French governments are expected to award those companies involved additional contracts to advance technologies and work on demonstrators this summer.
