On every year of 4th January, the World Braille Day is celebrated because it is Louis Braille's birthday. Louis Braille was a inventor of braille and he was born in 1809 in France. After a childhood accident, Louis Braille became blind and he quickly adopted his new way of living. 

When he was 15 years old, Louis Braille created the system we know today as braille which is based on a system of writing developed by Charles Barbier. After few years, braille was tweaked to make it easier to read. Now it is used the world over.

On Thursday (3rd Jan 2019), Prime Minister Modi tagged in twitter about Ms Arunima, who is the first woman amputee to scale Mt Everest. On Friday (4th January 2019), PM Narendra Modi took to social media to congratulate amputee mountaineer Ms Arunima Sinha for successfully climbing Mount Vinson which is the highest mountain in Antarctica. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on his official Twitter page as, "Excellent! Congratulations to @sinha_arunima for scaling new heights of success." He also said, "She is the pride of our India Nation. She has distinguished herself through her perseverance and hard work. Wishing her the very best for her future endeavors."

In Rajasthan, Nitin Gadkari to Inaugurate Road Projects Worth Rs. 5379 Cr
On Saturday (5th January 2019), the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Mr Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate 3 national highway projects of worth Rs. 5379 cr and step the foundation stones for 3 others in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. 

This road projects include widening of Gagariya Bawri Kalan Sedwa Bakhasar section of NH925, Dangiyavas Keru Nagaur section of Jodhpur Ring Road, Munabav Sundra Myajlar Dhanana Asutar Ghotaru Tanot section of NH70 and Sata Gandhav section of National Highway 925-A. In a government statement, this road projects have a cost of Rs. 3631.20 cr and total length of 545.456 km.

Today (4th Jan 2019), PM Modi inaugurated 8 key development projects and steps the foundation stones for 4 schemes in Manipur. During a public rally in Imphal, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the projects. These project includes an Dolaithabi Barrage, integrated check post in Moreh, buffer water reservoir and a food storage godown. 

Today (4th January 2019, Friday), Manipur has got the gift of integrated check post which is built at a cost of over Rs. 125 cr. The official said, this is not an ordinary check post, it has lot of features in it.
