India Women Won ODI Series Against New Zealand
On Today (29th Jan 2019), India Women Cricket team register their second victory against New Zealand at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui and clinch the ODI series and lead by 2-0 in three ODI match. Indian left hand opener Smriti Mandhana and skipper Mithali Raj produced yet another superlative performance with the bat and help India to achieve the victory. 

The left handed opener Smriti Mandhana scored an unbeaten 90* runs off just 83 balls and Mithali Raj 63* off 111 balls as India thrashed the New Zealand by 8 wickets in just 35.2 over itself and to take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the 3 match ODI series.

Former Union Minister George Fernandes Died At 88
George Fernandes, former Union minister, socialist and 9 time Lok Sabha MP was passed away Today (29th January 2019) morning, following a prolonged illness at the age of 88. Fernandes had been bedridden for the past few years. He was born in Mangalore in Karnataka in 1930. George was a fiery socialist and arch enemy of Indira Gandhi. George Fernandes went underground during Emergency, but he was arrested in connection with the Baroda dynamite case in 1976. 

Prime Minister Modi wrote on Twitter, "George Sahab represented the best of India's political leadership. Frank and fearless, forthright and farsighted, he made a valuable contribution to our Indian country. He was among the most effective voices for the rights of the poor and marginalized. Saddened by his passing away." Chief Minister Nitish Kumar declaring a 2 day state mourning in Bihar.

India's First Film Museum Opens in Home of Bollywood
From the silent black & white Bollywood films to colorful blockbusters bursting with dance and song, the evolution of Indian Bollywood cinema is traced by a new museum in the home of Bollywood. 

The costing of museum is around 1.4 billion, India's first national film museum is spread across a stylish 19th century bungalow and a modern 5 storey glass structure in south Mumbai. A consulting curator on the project, Amrit Gangar told AFP, the museum showcases to the world outside, what Indian cinema has achieved in it's over more than 100 years.

Pariksha Par Charcha 2.0: PM Modi Discuss On Exam Stress With 2000 Students
On Today (29-01-2019, Tuesday), as part of the 2nd edition of ''Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0'' PM Modi interacted with a total of 2000 students, teachers and parents in the national capital. With less than 2 months to go for the Class 10 and Class 12 annual exams, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the ways to handle the exam stress with students, teacher & parents in an interactive session at the Talkatora Stadium. 

This is the first time, students from across the country will get a chance to participate in the Pariksha Par Charcha event. According to a statement of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, the students also include from college of 24 states and Union Territories. There are 675 school & college students from across the country have reached Delhi for this Pariksha Par Charcha event.



Nagaland Cabinet Rejects Citizenship Amendment Bill

There are 675 school & college students from across the country have reached Delhi for this Pariksha Par Charcha event.    Nagaland Cabinet Rejects Citizenship Amendment Bill
From various tribal organizations and students bodies, the Nagaland Cabinet has rejected the citizenship bill following pressure. The Cabinet had earlier said, that the CAB was not applicable to Nagaland. CM Neiphiu Rio and Chief Secretary Temjen Toy said, that the Nagaland was opposed and rejected the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 over the "will and desire" of all sections of the people. 

The National Democratic People's Party headed People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) government in the Nagaland had said, that the state enjoys protection under provisions of Article 371 (A) of the Constitution and the Inner Line Permit (ILP). According to that any person who acquires Indian citizenship will be ineligible for acquiring property or settling down in the Nagaland state.
