Till Wednesday (5th December 2018), India is the 4th highest emitter of carbon dioxide (Chemical Formula CO2) in the world with 7% of global emissions in 2017. 

According to the projection by the Global Carbon Project, the top 4 emitters in 2017 covered total of 58% of global emissions were,
1. China - 27%
2. US - 15%
3. European Union - 10%
4. India - 7%

The rest of the world contributed 41% last year. India's carbon dioxide emissions look set to continue their strong growth by an average of 6.3% in 2018.

World's Cheapest Drinking Water at 50 Paise Per Litre
On Wednesday (05th December 2018), In the inauguration of an innovative project, the Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore Santiniketan will get the cheapest drinking water in the world at 50 paise per litre, claimed an NGO. 

The project converts contaminated pond water into pure drinking water. This project was inaugurated at Mirzapur in Bolpur sub-division, Birbhum district of West Bengal by non governmental organisation founder Bindeshwar Pathak and setup by Sulabh International. It have a technology which is developed by French Organisation 'Fountain 1001'.

He said, that the project plant will produce around 10,000 ltr of pure drinking water in future and its also accumulated rain water into bottled water with Rs. 10 for 20 ltr pack.

In an effort of set a new international record and raise awareness about contaminate wide volumes world's oceans, young Nepalis created a map of Dead Sea with used colorful plastic bags.

The record attempt was organised with "One Dead Sea is Enough for us" slogan. The young Nepalis created a map with 1,00,000 colorful used plastic bags with 65 ft. (20 mtr) long and 16 ft. (5 mtr) tall and its shaped like the Dead Sea. It was created in an open ground in Kathmandu's city centre.

Cyber Safety for teenagers, the Union Home Ministry has come out with a booklet. That tries to address the increased use of gadgets, smartphones, online gaming, fake news and social media. The book deal with the problems of cyber bullying, email fraud and cyber grooming.

It contains 38 page and titled as "A Handbook for Students on Cyber Safety". It explain the various kinds of cyber crimes such as job fraud, email spoofing, identity theft and how children can overcome them. Now a day lot of hoax messages and fake news spread like wildfire on social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Whatsapp.

It may create a law & order problem and may end up causing loss of life in a few cases. Before forwarding/ sharing any message on social media, check it on other registered sources and confirm its reliability.

Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a code that acts as an identification for families, corporate and individuals especially those who pay income tax. If you going to apply for PAN after 5th December 2018, then the father's name field is not mandatory in the application form.

This rule is applicable only if the mother of applicant is a single parent. The changes were implemented by the income tax department through their website. According to the official report, you will soon able to get your PAN card in 4 hours itself. Non-Individual Entities (In a single financial year, who conducting transaction of Rs. 2.5 lakh or more) must have to get PAN card before May 31st 2019.

Today (Thursday, 6th December 2018), Cheteshwar Pujara scored hit 1st hundred in Australia and help India to recovery after the leading batsmen dismissals. India has playing four match test series against Australia at Adelaide.

On Thursday (6th Dec 2018), the European Union (EU) announced emergency assistance of Rs. 84 lakh to the communities which is affected by cyclone Gaja in Tamil Nadu on November. This help will benefit directly 17,500 people in the cyclone Gaja hit districts of Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Thanjavur.

Cyclone Gaja affect Tamilnadu on 16th November 2018, leaving 63 dead. According to the TN Govt data, more than 117,000 houses were damaged and totally 50% were destroyed. The action will specifically target individuals whose houses were damaged in the Gaja cyclone.
