On every year December 24th, the National Consumer Day was observed with a specific theme in India. In this year of 2018, the National Consumer Day is celebrated with the theme "Timely Disposal of Consumer Complaints". The assent of the president was received by Consumer Protection Act, 1986 on this day (24th December). 

In India, the Debuts of this Act is considered as a historic milestone in the consumer movement. The World Consumer Rights Day is an awareness day which is observed on 15th March 2019. The 1983 is the year, WCRD was celebrated first.

Together, both days are considered as one of the most culturally significant celebrations in Western society and Christendom. Christmas celebrations have long begun on the night of the December 24th in the denominations of Western Christianity, due in part to the Christian liturgical day starting at sunset.

Today (24-12-2018) is a National Eggnog Day. During the holidays, eggnog is one of the most popular beverages served, on Christmas Eve it is very appropriate that this occasion is celebrated. The traditional recipe to made eggnog is milk, sugar, cream, beaten eggs, spices, and sometimes alcohol. 

The alcohol is depends upon country where it is made. In Europe, eggnog is traditionally made with white wine, Peruvians use pomace brandy, Americans drink it with bourbon or rum and Germans use beer. That the eggnog was first called "egg n' grog," which was eventually shortened to "eggnog." According to other sources, the name comes from the Old English word strong ale, "nog." 

This is a theory suggests that the combination of the words "egg" and "nog" refers to any drink that includes both strong alcohol and egg.

In Vajpayee Memory, PM Modi Launches Rs.100 Coin
Today (24th December 2018, Monday), PM Narendra Modi was released a commemorative Rs. 100 coin in memory of iconic BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a day before his birth anniversary. Prime Minister Modi said, the mind is not ready to believe that Vajpayee is no longer with us. 

At the function attended by top BJP leaders, minister including party president Amit Shah, L K Advani and Finance Minister Arun Jaitely, and PM Modi who said Atal Bihari was a stalwart loved and respected across all sections of society. In the 100 rupee coin have the image of former prime minister and his name inscribed in Hindi and English. 

The weighs of coin is 35 grams and has the years 1924 and 2018 inscribed to mark the years of Mr Vajpayee's birth and death. On the other side of the coin has the Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar with "Satyameva Jayate". Atal Bihari Vajpayee died on 16th August 2018 at the age of 93. He was the prime minister of the country for 13 days in 1996, 13 months in 1998 and for almost 6 years from 1999.

For US Military, SpaceX Blasts off Powerful GPS Satellite
On Sunday (23rd December 2018), a SpaceX rocket blasted off from Florida's Cape canaveral which is carrying a US military navigation satellite. Its marking the space transportation companies first national space mission for the US. 

The Falcon 9 rocket carrying a roughly $500 million GPS satellite which is built by Lockheed Martin Corp lifted off from Cape Canaveral at 8:51 am. Due to weather and technical issues, 4 scheduled launched in the last week including one on Saturday were cancelled. The Air Force said, this launch was originally scheduled for 2014 but has been restricted by production delays. The Eschenfelder said, the next GPS III satellite will be launch in mid of 2019.

President Ram Nath Kovind today (Monday, 24-Dec-2018), during his last leg of 4 day visit to Telangana state, he was inaugurated the Water Cascade and Palmatum Rock Garden near the Herbal Garden located at the President's residence in the state. 

President Kovind and his wife Ms Savita Kovind posed for photographs amid the picturesque surroundings, which were uploaded on the President's Kovind social media accounts today (24th December 2018). During his trip to Telangana, the president Kovind was accompanied by his wife, Ms Savita Kovind. 

After the inauguration of Palm Garden, Rock Garden and Water Cascade, President paid an unscheduled visit to the Camp Office of the Telangana Police at his residence/Rashtrapati Nilayam.

The official source said, that the Former Union minister and former Member of Parliament Captain Jai Narain Prasad Nishad, 88, died at a hospital on Monday, 24th December 2018 following prolonged illness. He was undergoing treatment at the Hospital Max, Saket, in south Delhi, where he breathed his last,

In a Twitter post, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled his demise

He tweeted, "Saddened by the demise of Former Union Minister Captain Jai Narain Prasad Nishad Ji. He served our Indian nation with great diligence. Captain Nishad's effort for the progress of Bihar were note worthy. His work towards empowering the poor will always be remembered. Condolences to his family and supporters".
